Networking is often the key to gaining opportunities and experience in any field. But when you don't already have access to such a network or circumstances that prevent you from doing that, it proves exceedingly difficult to build your own. BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) face this to an extreme - systemic/structural oppression and lack of access play a huge role. We don’t want the future generation of leaders to have to enter their field afraid of what’s to come - we want them to enter confidently.
