How does the program work? The Minority Mixers program last 12 weeks and matches minority students to mentors in their field of choice to build a project they are passionate about. Students can come in with a project idea already in mind or create an idea in the beginning of the program with the aid of their mentor. Over the course of the program, students will periodically meet with their mentor to continue building their project. At the end of the program, all students and mentors will attend an end of program mixer where they have the opportunity to present their ideas to win one of two $250 grants to go towards the development of their project.

How often do we have to meet with our mentor/mentee?That's up to you! We understand that each pair will have different levels of availability and we want to make sure they're meeting at a frequency that's comfortable for them. We encourage a total of 6-10 meetings, but at your own pace. Before our opening session, we will provide each pair with the other's contact information and we encourage pairs to reach out to each other and communicate their time schedules at this point.
