Mentorship

An mentorship program made just for you, by people like you.

The Program

Our mentorship program matches minority students with a professional in their desired field - one-on-one- to work towards building a project they are passionate about. At the end of the 10 weeks, students will have the opportunity to present their ideas for the chance to secure one of two $250 grants in funding.

The Process

1. Apply

Send in an application via our form making sure to choose your respective one - student or mentor. Fill out information regarding your interests so that we can get to know you better and make the best match possible!

2. Get Matched

Congratulations - you've received a match! We'll send you off with each other's contact information so you can communicate your meeting frequency over a span of 6-10 meetings (it's up to you!) Attend our opening zoom session with the rest of the members of your cycle to kick off the program!

3. Celebrate

After having completed your mentorship, well having a closing zoom session where members of the current mentorship cycle can connect with one another and present their projects to each other! Two lucky mentees will be chosen to get a $250 scholarship!

What You Gain

Confidence

Mentees learn about their field of interest under the mentors, who provide insight that helps the mentee understand, explore, and learn. By gaining solid footing regarding their future, mentees walk away from the program with a newfound confidence.

Community

Through this program, you will gain a community of like-minded individuals to support you in your endeavors. We highly encourage alumni to keep in contact with past matches and for fellow mentees to support one another.

Helping Hands

Mentors can give back to their communities by helping bridge equitable opportunities with minority students. By lending a hand to the underrepresented, they can foster the next generation of bright leaders.

Perspective

Expose yourself to new perspectives from your mentor/mentee. New perspectives are key to learning more about yourself and your career, as well as learning from each other!
